Ensure you have all the necessary documents and vehicle equipment required by UK law before heading out on the road.
š Required Documents
- Provisional Driving Licence ā You must have this with you at all times during lessons and the test.
- Theory Test Certificate ā Required to book and attend your practical driving test.
- Vehicle Insurance ā Proof that the vehicle is insured for a learner driver (if practicing outside of driving school).
- Valid MOT ā Ensure the vehicle has a current MOT certificate if it's over 3 years old.
š Vehicle Essentials
- 'L' Plates ā Must be clearly visible on the front and rear of the vehicle.
- Extra Rear-view Mirror ā Often required for the examiner or supervisor.
- First Aid Kit ā Highly recommended for emergency situations.
- Warning Triangle ā To be used in case of a breakdown to alert other drivers.
Legal Requirement
